At 21 years old, Syreeta Gates is an Evolutionist. She is a social entrepreneur, community leader and role model. She had participated in activities such as StartingBloc’s Social Innovation Competition, the AmeriCorps Public Allies NY, Team Revolution’s Fellowship Academy and I Love My LIFE Campaign Leader and Founding CEO of SWT (Pronounced Sweet).

Driven by, ambition, imagination and passion Syreeta inspires people to be the change they want to see in their communities. Her new company provides innovative community service projects, events, and creates cause inspired products.

Today Syreeta is doing innovative community service projects all over NYC and making it “cool” to Give More to the community.

SWT was created In 2008. Syreeta Gates wanted to create something where young people could redefine what it means to be extraordinary. Gates knew the importance of creating things that people are passionate about, so it only made since to create a liaison between passion and community service. At age 19, Syreeta put her vision into action and SWT was born. After doing many community service projects SWT is creating a new culture of young people Giving More to the world.

PLAID HIGH/LO TOPS

We were looking through different kicks on blogs earlier today. Were deciding on what to bring into The Wagon for the summer. Came across these Chuck Taylors in Woolrich plaid that are available in blue/black and red/black in low and hi-tops. The toe shell is black patented and the chucks are paired with sleep black waxed laces. A collabo between two different types of American classics (kool concept). Ju definitely finds these kicks interesting for those who are fans of both labels. One or two of us from the The Wagon was once into Woolrich gooses during the winter.

Creating Beauty out of Adversity.

The Wagon Boutique, Divine Bradley, and Sweet noticed something on the block of Union Street. There was graffiti and gang signs on the back of a church located across the street from The Wagon Boutique. Divine Bradley suggested he contact his friend SWEET about creating a mural for the damaged wall.

SWEET  and The Wagon contacted the church for their blessings, they thought the idea was great. The Wagon then contacted the community and neighbor's of the block. A date was set and the Mural was put up by creative artist STEM & Y.N.N crew.

One year anniversary
